Description

The Orange Lake Smith Family has established a heritage scholarship to assist high school seniors who reside in Orange Lake, Marion County, Florida and plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. The program is administered by the Education Network Society®, one of the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by the Education Network Society’s evaluation and award teams.

Criteria

Selection of Recipients Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of: *Academic performance *Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities *Work experience *A statement of educational and career goals and objectives *Unusual personal or family circumstances Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Education Network Society committee. In no instance does any officer or employee of ENS play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final. Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following: *A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken *Copy of FAFSA Submission Summary One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 12, 2027, 5:00 pm Eastern Time. Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.

Awards

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of: *Academic performance *Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities *Work experience *A statement of educational and career goals and objectives *Unusual personal or family circumstances *An online recommendation Financial need will be considered. Applicants must demonstrate need. Up to ten (10) awards ranging from $1.000 to $1,500 will be granted. Awards are for high school seniors only pursuing a degree at an accredited 4-year college or university in the U.S. Recipients will be invited to attend a luncheon where they will have lunch with other recipients and learn about the sponsors of the scholarship and career opportunities. Awards are one-time only. Past recipients may not reapply. Selection of recipients is made by the Education Network Society. In no instance does any officer or employee of the sponsor play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in March. Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to. Payment of Scholarship

Education Network Society processes scholarship payments on behalf of sponsor Orange Lake Smith Family. *Payment is made in September.
